Lollobrigida Gina

Gina Lollobrigida has published six books of photographs, three of sculptures and has filmed three documentaries: one on Fidel Castro (1974), one on Indira Gandhi (1976) and a two hour 35 mm film about the Philippines (1976). In 1980 an exhibition of her photographs at the Musée Carnavalet won her the "Gold Medal of the City of Paris". The authoritative daily Le Monde wrote:

"Gina Lollobrigida has the eye of a Cartier-Bresson, she has talent, is full of energy and the photos possess an overwhelming force. She is truly a great artist."

In 2007 she was the first person in Italy and the world to figure on no less than four postage stamps, issued by the Republic of San Marino in honour of her roles as artist and legend, photo-reporter, sculptress and FAO Ambassadress.
