Jessica Antola
Jessica Antola was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She earned degrees in fine art and photography from Cornell University and the Art Center College of Design. Antola’s photography career began during her years living in Paris, where she shot portraits, fashion, and global travel stories for W, Madame Figaro, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Vanity Fair and Condé Nast Traveler, among others. For more than twenty years, Antola’s travels have informed and inspired her work – from West Papua to Antarctica, from Tibet to Myanmar, and finally Sub-Saharan Africa, the focus of this monograph. Antola’s work has been the subject of solo and group exhibitions internationally. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
