From October 19 to 21, 2023 Team Deakins will be in Barcelona for a series of events planned and promoted by Escola de Cinema de Barcelona ECIB. During these three days the team will meet the ECIB students and attend Q&A, screenings, the opening of the first solo exhibition by Roger Deakins in Spain and a book signing for his book Byways (Damiani, 2021).

Team Deakins will spend all this day at ECIB to meet the students and share with them their experiences in the movie industry. This event is reserved for ECIB students.

Villa del Arte gallery, in collaboration with ECIB, will present the first exhibition in Spain of Roger A Deakins' photographic works. Roger and James Ellis Deakins will be present at the event. Free entry.

In the presence of Team Deakins, Filmoteca de Catalunya will screen the restored version of the movie 1984 by Michael Radford (1984). Q&A with Roger and James Ellis Deakins to follow. Tickets available at Filmoteca de Catalunya website.

Closing the three-day #ECIBWelcomesRogerDeakins event, the bookstore Libreria Finestres will host a book signing with Roger and James Ellis Deakins of the volume Byways (Damiani, 2021). The book can be ordered in advance at Libreria Finestres website.
