Obscura Gallery, Collected Works Bookstore, and Violet Crown proudly announce a collaborative offering of engaging events to pay tribute to the esteemed cinematographer and photographer Roger Deakins. These special events, which will take place on Thursday, March 14, and Friday, March 15, aim to honor Deakins' remarkable contributions to the art of cinema and photography.
Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4 to 8 p.m Collected Works Bookstore and Violet Crown will host an author event and film screening at Violet Crown Gallery Space. Roger A Deakins in conversation with Bill Shapiro will introduce the movie No Country for Old Men and will discuss about the book Byways (Damiani, 2021). On this occasion the photographer will be available to sign copies of the book that will be purchasable on site with 10% off the regular price with the ticket for the screening.
