"The Hulett Collection is proud to present the second North American exhibition of acclaimed photographer and Academy Award winning filmmaker, Roger A. Deakins. Works on display will include photographs featured in Deakins’ monograph, Byways, as well as new, never-before-seen photographs. The exhibition will open to the public on March 4, 2023 with an opening reception with Roger and James Ellis Deakins from 5 to 8 pm at The Hulett Collection. The exhibition will be on display through April 29, 2023.
In the lead up to the opening, Roger A. Deakins and The Hulett Collection will collaborate with several Tulsa cultural centers for a week of special events. This includes a book signing of Byways (Damiani, 2021) at Magic City Books, an evening of Clips and Conversation with Roger A Deakins and Sterlin Harjo, creator of Reservation Dogs, at the Bob Dylan Center, and a screening of one of Roger’s films at Circle Cinema.
