From February 28 to June 9, 2025, Villa Medici, the French Academy in Rome, will host the exhibition CHROMOTHERAPIA. The Feel-Good Color Photography, a unique show that explore the history of color photography over the whole course of the 20th century through the zestful gaze of 19 internationally renowned artists.
Curated by Maurizio Cattelan and Sam Stourdzé, the exhibition is structured into seven thematic chapters, each exploring and celebrating the infinite nuances of color photography. The exhibition is accompanied by the publication of the book Chromotherapia. The Feel-Good Color Photography, published by Damiani Books and Villa Medici.
